IY SCACEL SIAM, my name is Peter Underwood. I'm W̱SÁNEĆ, Samish & Norwegian. Other than school and work I love knitting, learning language, visiting forests and beaches, and board games. You'll often be able to find me in the NSU room in the SUB, or in the First Peoples House, feel free to say hi if you do!

About Jenna
My name is Jenna Lancaster and I am going into my fourth of he Child and Youth Care Program here at UVic. I am Kwakwaka'wakw on my father’s side coming from Kingcome Inlet and Alert Bay. On my mother’s side I am Coast Salish, from Songhees and Squamish on my grandmothers side and Leeyq’sun on my grandfather’s side. I am looking forward to learning and connecting more with our Indigenous community here on campus and throughout the city. My name is Dakota Nelson, I am Musgamagw Dzawada'enuxw and Tahltan. I have just finished my third year of my Anthropology and Indigenous Studies double major, and I am currently on the executive team for the Bureau of Anthropology Students (BOAS). This is my first time on the NSU council and I am excited to be working in the Indigenous community at UVic!

About Alexis
Uy’ skweyul. My name is Alexis Elliott and my traditional name is Lumsiyah. On my father’s side I am a Cowichan Tribes member, and I have Dutch ancestry on my mother’s side. I am about to enter my third year of a double major in both Indigenous Studies and History, and am grateful to have the opportunity to study as an uninvited guest on both WSÁNEĆ and Lekwungen territory. In my spare time you can often find me on campus in the NSU room hanging with friends, playing soccer, or even riding the occasional horse. I am eager for the year to come and am both thankful and excited to work alongside such a passionate and focused team.
