The Native Students Union rooms in the Student Union Building and the First Peoples House will remain closed for the time being. Our staff and council are considering methods for reopening and are assessing risks for opening our spaces and will post updates when things are safe for reopening.
April 1, 2020
Due to the closure of the Student Union Building and the First Peoples House as protective measures from COVID-19, the Native Students Union spaces are closed.
If you need any support from the NSU send us an email at contact@uvicnsu.ca or attend on our our meetings. Student support from the First Peoples House's IACE (Office of Indigenous Academic & Community Engagement) staff or HSD's ISSC (Student Support Centre) is still available online.
The NSU's regularly scheduled meeting will continue through an online service called Zoom. The meeting code is 926-079-3131. The service is available through the zoom app/program or in your web browser.
We will be planning socially distant events, student supports during this time, and how to move forward in this time.
