Discord is a free voice, video, and text chat app that's used by tens of millions of people ages 13+ to talk and hang out with their communities and friends. People use Discord daily to talk about many things, ranging from art projects and family trips to homework and mental health support.
Our Discord server is for Indigenous students at UVic. We ask that you please introduce yourself on the server just like you would introduce yourself in your home community, or at least include your name and nation. A moderator will grant you full access to the server after your have introduced yourself.

Discord Servers
There are many servers to join, the one you're probably here for is the NSU discord server. Many other student groups have their own servers too!
Channels
Channels are subsections of Servers. They allow for more topical chats.
Roles
There are different roles that users can get and use like a nametag. You can assign your own roles under the channel #get-roles. You can use the roles to even change the colour of your username.
Moderators
UVic NSU moderators and staff on are on the server to help you. Just tag a moderator by typing @mod in your message to get help.
